Network Technician

Job Description:
Local ISP (Internet Service Provider) is seeking qualified hard-working individuals for both fiber and wireless home installation services.
Network Technician will be trained on how to connect the fiber line on the side of a home into a new router in the home and set up the home for Wi-Fi.
Network Technician will be trained on testing for wireless Internet signals from cell-tower or other Internet relay locations. A wireless transceiver to communicate with those wireless signals will be installed on the home, on a pole, or even off a nearby tree. The wireless transceiver will be wired to the home, providing Internet and Wi-Fi within the home.
Network Technician will be trained on basic troubleshooting procedures:
- Basic Radio Frequency (RF) concepts
- Testing for good Wi-Fi
- Wireless Frequency conflicts and how to resolve them
Experience:
Preferred, but not required. On-Job Training available.
Requirements:
Friendly and supportive when engaging customers.
Very organized (tools, schedule, and communications)
Must be comfortable with heights
- Working with ladders
- Walking on a roof with safety equipment
Must be comfortable with basic computer/tablet/phone use:
- Using Apps on a smart device
- Logging into devices with a web-browser
- Pinning GPS locations
- Setting up basic network configurations according to installation requirements
Employee must be equipped with basic tools (wrenches, drills, etc. A complete tool list will be provided). Specialty tools & equipment provided by employer.
*Must pass a drug screening.
*Must have a valid driver’s license.
*Must have a clean driving record.
